The Man without Fear by ArtistAbe The Man without Fear by ArtistAbe
Daredevil: The Man without Fear by Frank Millar and John Romita Jr. will forever be in my top favorite comic list.
I've always been surrounded by daredevil comics but just thought he looked cool and i didn't really see him as a worthy super hero till i read that comic.
The descriptions Frank Millar made were the best and grittyest i've heard in a comic. No other character would ever be able to stand toe to toe with Daredevil in my eyes...... well maybe except the crazy god like ones, but whatever! Dardevil is tops!

Heh, they don't call him the Man Without Fear for nothing, that's for sure. To me, he's like the Marvel answer to the Dark Knight, in terms of his shadowy past, his powers, his fighting style, his sporting cast and of course, his dark and gritty persona.... And that's why I like him for it.

Great work once again my friend, you sure are a master when it comes to drawing super heroes.

Hmm.... You know with the recent rumors of DD getting a reboot movie, how would you feel if they cast..... Armie Hammer to play DD. Good, bad or mixed?

Oh wow!! Thank you! That is one great compliment!! Really do appreciate that :D

Man a DD reboot would be soooooo freaking awesome! I would have totally wanted that over Spiderman. Sorry spidey.
I haven't seen much of Arnie Hammer but what i have seen is that he has a boasting attitude to all he does. Almost like a high school jock. I tend to dislike those characters and feel like DD wouldn't need to say what awesome things he's capable of but rather just do them. I haven't really thought of a picture perfect actor for DD, but from the top of my head i'd choose Guy Peirce just because the dude can do anything.

I liked it when he went all red, the red and yellow costume he had before just looked silly. XD

haha i can agree with you on that. I guess in his defense is that he just say he was color blind when he put that costume together :)

Hahaha color blind. I can accept that, though wasnt there a segment in discussing how sensitive all of his senses became where he was able to tell what color something was based on touch? I remember something to that effect at least being in the original comic book where he had the red and yellow outfit.

I'm also a big fan of the Romita and Miller eras. I like the Bendis comics and the early Brubaker ones, but haven't read any recently. Still, Hornhead will always be one of my tops. :)

Same here. I haven't read the recent ones as well. Unfortunately i'm drawn to books with art that i personally like and think of the story second:( So when the feces really starting to hit the fan in Dare Devils life in the books i wasn't digging the artist drawing that story so i never bothered to read it...

I didn't think i'd do his character just if i just drew him just standing there so i went with a jump and twirl of his cane rope thingy.

DD ranks right up there in my top three heroes. This is an awesome piece that hearkens back to the old cane days, rather than that narly spike club thing.

Nicely done.

And, you seem to have got Frank Miller's name mixed up with Mark Millar -- it's Miller with an e.

Yes, The Man Without Fear is classic. Miller's own, earlier run on Daredevil (both as an artist for Roger Stern and writing and drawing the thing by himself) is classic, too.
